what happened to wonderland
for many years my / body was a wonderland / strong fierce full of fire ♦
wonderland is gone / just a romantic wasteland / balding tired and weak ♦
still i look inside / searching for remnants hiding / in my dark corners ♦

Your Haiku is beautiful, coming from the beauty inside that cancer can never take away.
It is such a wonderful thing that the spirit cannot be taken away by cancer. The body is really only a shell and the spirit which lives on eternally is something than cannot be diminished or extinguished. Perhaps your body is tired of looking for it, but I can almost guarantee you, the spirit is there and is as vital and strong as ever. Why even I can see it all the way from Floria! hugs and love to you Dear Lady!
You are still a wonder, Donna. I am in awe of you. g
Hello PRETTY Lady,,,No dark corners for you Peachy Lady. You’re wonderland is not gone just in a different place, and nothing can take that away..God Bless..and Sweet Eagle Dreams to you and your DH…
Oh, Donna. This is so beautiful. You are beautiful. Hugs.
Donna, I agree this is beautiful yet I also see the reality that there is such a loss of innocence with cancer. It has it’s dark side and sometimes it rears it’s ugly head and you wonder why so much has changed. At the same time cancer is no match for your incredibly bright spirit even if it’s hiding in dark corners. Love and Hugs – Susan
Cancer is such a thief, sometimes blatantly, sometimes sneaking bits here and there, but consistently robbing. As long as we remain, there will be twinkles of light in those dark corners like stars in the night sky.
Lovely haiku ~ sending you lots of distant healing reiki hugs and recommend a book (you probably have many) Haiku Mind by Patricia Dongeghan ~ visiting from Creative Everyday
